Worthy of the Calling Podcast Tour + Exciting New Bible Study

Podcasts are warm and inviting like a steaming cup of Earl Grey tea on a brisk fall afternoon.  They offer a glimpse inside another soul, an invitation to rest awhile in the company of new friends. I'd love to have my own podcast someday. But until that day comes, I'll continue to find great joy in visiting with the talented podcast hosts who graciously invite me onto their shows.

Faith-filled podcasts are warm and inviting like a steaming cup of Earl Grey tea on a brisk fall afternoon

A simple invitation to rest awhile in the company of new friends.

I’d love to have my own podcast someday.

But until that day comes, I’ll continue to find great joy in visiting with the talented podcast hosts who graciously invite me onto their shows.

It’s sort of like being invited to a new friend’s home for coffee & conversation.

They do all the cleaning, baking, and coffee making, and all I have to do is show up and enjoy their hospitality.

Such a gift!

I’d be lying if I didn’t say launching my new Worthy of the Calling Bible study has been an exhausting endeavor.

Endless hours spent studying, writing, editing, designing graphics, collaborating with creative partners, and organizing the launch team.

Yes. Exhausting.

But also exhilarating!

And one of my very favorite parts of launching the study was making guest appearances on several podcasts.

Practical Family Podcast

Join me for this heart-filled interview with Jenn from the Practical Family Podcast as we discuss simple tips for finding time to study the Word of God.

Making time to study anything can be challenging, especially in a season of raising young children. But the Bible is full of practical help and inspiration awaits when you make time to dive in and get to know the God who created you for amazing things. If you don’t know where to start, find someone who’s a few steps ahead of you and ask them to journey along with you.

I pray our conversation encourages you to carve out time for Bible study.

Halfway There Podcast

When Eric and I finished recording this interview, the first thing I said to him was “You asked me questions about my personal faith journey that no one has ever asked me before. You helped me see my own story in a whole new light. I need to listen to our conversation again and take notes, so I don’t forget all the good things God has done in my life!”

Never have I ever had such an open and vulnerable conversation with someone outside of my family. This podcast interview is not for everyone. It’s raw and rough and deep. But if you want to know how I got to be where I am, this is my story.

In this episode of the Halfway There Podcast, Eric and I talk about:

  •  How I stumbled on blogging and discovered my calling
  • My traditional Christian family upbringing and Christian school
  • The mentor who changed how I view God’s calling on my life
  • Waking up to the spiritual battle through a Bible study
  • The water heater that nearly killed me (no joke!)
  • Why helping Christian understand the Bible means so much to me

I pray our conversation encourages you and helps you break free from the affirmation trap.

Slices of Life Podcast

This 40-minute conversation with Kimberly Amici and Elise Daly Parker of the Slices of Life Podcast is a laid-back, honest look at our tendency to over-perform and a nod to the powerful work God can do in our hearts when we are stripped of our ability to perform.

God often allows brokenness in our lives to draw us into His arms and teach us a new way to live. At least, that’s what He did for me!

I pray our conversation and my personal testimony is an encouragement to you.

This interview with Becki Rogers, of the Not Quite Supermoms Podcast, is all about my crazy, unexpected homeschooling adventure and how graciously God has provided for me in the midst of it all.

  1. Wow! These look like some great podcasts Sarah. Thank you for sharing them and for your heart behind your ministry. You inspire me. I pray God continues to bless others through your hard work.

    1. It’s been such a joy to connect with these wonderful people, and I just love their passion for the Lord and desire to help others. Thanks for your support and encouragement, it means the world!

  2. Hey Sarah, I’ve listened to two of your podcasts this far. I’m looking forward to listening to a third this weekend. I’m so thankful for you ministry. Last Sunday in my household my laptop stayed closed and I took the day for family and spiritual renewal thanks to reminders from your blog posts and FB chats. My girls and I even colored the Ephesians book marks together. (It almost killed me to slow down to color!) Your ministry adds value to my life. Praise the Lord!!!

    1. That first Sunday is the most difficult. Since I’ve been signing off for the Sabbath for well over 2 months now, it’s second nature. And it’s my favorite day of the week. Keep at it! Loved the pics of your girls coloring the bookmarks. I’ve been meaning to do the same thing, but I’m like you….it’s tough for me to slow down and color.

  3. Hi Sarah! Living out our identity in Christ is always a worthy exploration. I’m glad to see the resources you offer here. Blessings to you!

  4. I don’t have time right now, Sarah, but I will be back to listen to at least one of your podcasts. And I’m sharing at Pinterest and Twitter about your podcast and Bible study! I hope you get lots of participants, my friend!

    1. I love listening to people who I read. It always shifts my internal reading voice a bit. Thank you for taking the time to listen, and yes, it is a gift to be married to a servant-hearted husband.
